The GIBBON SLOW RELEASE SYSTEM is the reliable, proven solution for safely and gently releasing tension from slacklines under high load. Designed for installation in all GIBBON Slackline systems, it prevents the sudden, forceful discharge of energy that can occur when loosening a tensioned line — protecting both your equipment and your safety.
Maximum Safety, Minimal Wear
Based on the principle of friction, the SLOW RELEASE SYSTEM ensures smooth and gradual decompression. A 2-ton webbing is wrapped seven times around two heavy-duty shackles and secured with a Velcro strap. When you remove the Velcro, the slackline tension is released slowly and safely through controlled friction.
The included metal shackles have a working load limit of 1 ton and a breaking strength of 6 tons, while the sevenfold wrap provides a combined breaking load of 14 tons. This makes the system both incredibly safe and durable, significantly reducing wear on your slackline and ratchet during setup and dismantling.
Once installed, the GIBBON SLOW RELEASE SYSTEM can be used repeatedly and is compatible with all GIBBON Slacklines and Tricklines. It’s the essential accessory for anyone looking to combine high performance with maximum safety.
